“Great is Thy Faithfulness….” We know the hymn and how
much it means to each of us that God is always faithful. As
Christians, we strive to be faithful, also, but often cannot match
our desire with our reality. When I invite people to join the
Chancel Choir or the Willow Creek Ringers, the most common
response I get is, “I can't be there every Sunday (every week)”.
In truth, none of us can. Our jobs, our families, and many other
things call to us and require us to divide our time between various
activities and geographic locations. So, I would like to invite
you all again, to consider joining one of our musical groups.
Chancel Choir meets on Sunday mornings from 8:45
until10:00 a.m. in the sanctuary. We often sing for worship and try
to keep a current calendar posted to members.
The Willow Creek Ringers meet on Thursday evening
from 7:00 to 8:15 p.m. We ring for worship about every 2 months.
I try to rehearse music often enough and long enough that members
are comfortable participating, even if they have had to miss a
rehearsal. Often CD recordings of the music are alsoavailable…
you can sing along in the car! If you’re an instrumentalist,
let us know and we can add you to either choir or bells. Soloist or
part of an ensemble? We'd love to have you play or sing on any
Sunday you're available.
